An introduction to the Compute Canada cloud platform for beginners.

• An introduction to basic Internet and cloud concepts.
• An overview of the Compute Canada cloud platform.
• Creating virtual machines and using Secure Shell (SSH) to securely access them.
• Deploying the Linux Apache MySQL and PHP (LAMP) stack on CC cloud.
• Deploying Wordpress on the CC cloud.
• Securing websites using certificates.
• Maintaining your cloud environment and virtual machines.

Level: beginner

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Linux command line

Setup:

• Laptop software: SSH client (built-in on Mac/Linux, on Windows MobaXTerm or PuTTY), Web browser (Firefox or Chrome)
